Excellent review. A thorough comparison. I've been playing with a Ruby 16mm. Love the feel and spin, but hoping for some more pop. I think the 14mm J2K will be a more advanced paddle for me than the 16mm. It'll be a challenge, but I want to give it a shot. I tend to have good technique for control. Hopefully I can handle 14mm. If not, I'll just go back to 16mm. Glad they give me some wiggle room with the swing weight. I could probably increase the sweet spot and twist weight with some lead tape, right?

Great review! Is there a way to soften up the stiffness of the All Court paddle? Secondly, where is the best place to add weight to this paddle if you want to expand the sweet spot as much as possible. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Great review. J2K and HUDEF MAGE Pro Gen2 have always been hybrid shape paddles that I really like.

Did I read that correctly that the 14mm versions have less power and pop?

The numbers on j2k pro seem the best comparitively to everything. Yet people dont seem to use it much. Like yes slightly less sweet spot and control but overall better seeming. Is there something im missing? I have the ruby currently but want something similar but slightly more power.

Quality, yes. Customer service, NO. I sent a “Contact Us” note via their web site about some “puckering” of my edge guard on July 1 and still have no reply. I cannot find a Customer Service email on the site, only their web form. I watched Junk and Spam folders, too…nada.

Did you play with all of these stock? Add any weight? Noticeable pop difference between the C 12.7 and 14.3? Just played with the 12.7 weighted up and it was nice.

I'd love to see a spread sheet for these types of test. Go from 1" to 5" of lead tape at an increment of 1". Do 1g per inch and 2g per inch lead tapes. Then start from bottom of throat to top of paddle 1" apart and that would be the center of the lead tape. (At the way bottom and top you wouldn't be able to do the 2", 3" 4" and 5" strips, but as you go 1" up and up you'd introduce the longer tapes) So you'd do this 10x - 1 for 1" 1gpi, 2 " 1gpi, 3" 1gpi...... 5" 1gpi, then again for 2gpi 1" 2gpi, 2" 2gpi, 3" 2gpi.....5" 2gpi. Then you'd really have a graph of optimum placement for each length strip for 1g per inch and 2g per inch tapes. Something like paddleweights.vercel.app I vary how much lead tape I used to balance my paddle static weight to 8.5oz. If stock weight is 8.3oz then can only add .2oz of tape vs 7.9 stock paddle weight, then have .6oz to add to the paddle. (I also gauge how much less jarring or twisting I experience after the tape added to see if I need more or if swing weight is getting too high/hand speed starting to suffer to remove. Then its a decision to have more twist weight and less hands or not sacrifice hands and accept more jarring/twisting.)

The J2K now has a 14mm version. What kind of player would want the 14 vs the 16?
